Jayden Bogle has committed his future to Leeds United by putting pen to paper on a fresh agreement that will keep him at Elland Road through to the end of the decade.
The full-back’s existing terms were scheduled to run out in 2028, but the club have acted to extend his stay much earlier, preventing a scenario where he would enter the final twelve months of his contract next summer and potentially draw attention from overseas clubs.
This development comes after the decision to offer Joe Rodon fresh terms, with the Wales international also signing on for an additional four years. Ethan Ampadu similarly tied himself to a new contract back in June, with all three players considered fundamental members of the squad’s backbone.
Bogle has proved pivotal to Daniel Farke’s outfit since joining in 2024. Farke represents the manager under whom he has featured most frequently throughout his professional career, overseeing 84 appearances, of which 78 have come from the starting eleven.
Over the past twelve months, Bogle has had to adapt his game, shifting from a conventional right-back role to that of a wing-back.
He frequently finds himself stationed in advanced wide areas and during pre-season fixtures has occasionally moved inside to operate as a number ten, combining effectively with the adventurous Rodon. Bogle was even deployed on the right flank of attack during the February encounter with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
During his time at the club, Bogle has contributed eight goals and nine assists while helping maintain 32 shutouts. A club announcement meanwhile commended the 26-year-old for demonstrating exemplary professionalism both at Elland Road, Thorp Arch and further afield.
The statement confirming his contract extension described him as a rampaging full-back who has thrived in the iconic white shirt since switching from Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United in 2024. The announcement noted that away from the pitch, Jayden has consistently participated in initiatives run by the Leeds United Foundation.
The statement described him as able to feature in various tactical set-ups, whether deployed as an attacking wing-back or even higher up the field. It highlighted that Bogle’s flexibility and tactical intelligence have made him a near-constant presence under Farke.
The statement mentioned that having returned from his summer break, Jayden has continued to catch the eye throughout the club’s summer training schedule ahead of the new season, in each of the warm-up matches he has featured in.
The statement expressed that everyone at Leeds United is delighted to see the defender prolong his spell with the club and they anticipate watching him perform this coming season, commencing with their opening fixture against Nottingham Forest.
