Borussia Monchengladbach manager Eugen Polanski explained that his club’s decision to allow Nico Elvedi to leave for Leeds was driven by both financial considerations and the player’s personal request.
Centre-back Elvedi has arrived in the UK and is scheduled to complete his medical at Leeds shortly, with confirmation expected within the next day or so. Leeds are understood to be paying approximately £8million for the 29-year-old.
