North Macedonian forward Ditmir Hodja is set to move to Leeds United after being identified as a long-term prospect, with the 18-year-old expected to feature for the club’s youth setup.
While Leeds continue their search for experienced cover up front ahead of the transfer deadline, Hodja is slated to become a member of the Under-21 side, providing coach Scott Gardner with a contrasting option to those currently in his squad.
The 6ft 4in teenager arrives on a free transfer following the conclusion of his deal at hometown club Rabotnicki Skopje, where he found the net three times across 19 top-flight appearances.
Hodja featured for 55 minutes during a Europa Conference League qualifier that ended in a 1-0 loss to Belarusian side Torpedo Zhadino roughly a year ago. Still awaiting his first senior cap for his country, Hodja signed off on the previous campaign by contributing three goals and one assist in his last five league matches.
Leeds are working to secure a senior forward before the window closes a week on Tuesday. With Joel Piroe having departed on loan to West Ham United, manager Daniel Farke presently has only Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha available in that department.
On Thursday, Farke expressed cautious optimism regarding additional signings before the deadline, after indicating last weekend that the club requires further additions.
Among the priorities is a backup goalkeeper, with Leeds optimistic about securing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Michael Zetterer. Although one of the player’s representatives stated that a preliminary agreement was not imminent, sources within Leeds maintain that an agreement remains achievable.
The club also requires defensive cover at left-back and has identified a left-sided winger as another area needing attention.
Leeds United have unveiled their new third kit for the 2026/27 campaign, showcasing a black colourway with an all-over print and a tipped collar, designed to reference the architectural forms that define Leeds.
